Noise prediction in control shell 50m from ship hull.

     The following tasks were performed:

  • FE modeling and calculation shaft line
  • Dynamic analysis of the shafting impact on the general ship vibrations and noise
  • Prediction of resonance frequencies and peak vibrations
  • Prediction of underwater noise levels

Individual parameters of the ship shafting in different ways affect on the dynamic performance of the whole system.

 

The optimization of dynamic parameters has been performed based on the determination of the optimum arrangement engine and gearbox.

A specially self-developed engineering application for optimization and noise pre/postprocessing utilizing Femap API was used for this project.
